Land of Cinema
I just saw the greatest movie in the past 2 months: Harry Potter. But at the same time I enjoyed noticing little differences in cinematic habits in France and the States. Big difference number one: the theater is not packed in France for Harry Potter at 6 on opening saturday because French people eat dinner at that time and you better not get in the way of their supper 2. You need to bring your own snacks 3. the French don't clap, laugh (at non-comedies), gasp, or hollar at the film, no matter how much of a cult classic it is 4. In some theaters the bathroom is literally at the front of the room underneath the screen, so if you need to go, hold it. Otherwise, you're making a big scene and everyone knows whats going down.
