Jules Guesde

That is the name of one of the sadest things I have seen this summer. It is a metro stop with a marche. Only the things for sale are garbage. It seems that Gypsies, Africans, and Arabs alike search for garbage and then try to sell old shoes, remote controls, etc. in order to make a living.

I met a woman who has no long term memory. Next time I visit her, she won't remember who I am. But we are going to get her to dance with us, because she is from Madagascar and likes to dance. Another man talks so sweetly of the American intern from last year that I can't help but feel the influence she had on the people here. She must have done great work. And the way he says Sarah with his accent is so child-like and innocent. He is the cutest old man I have ever seen.

I am learning Spanish with my partner. It is hard because they have very different pronunciations than usual and I don't feel like learning their accent. All is well!
